Daphnee Alva-LaFleur grew up in a single-parent household, where her fondest memories are of sharing conversations over a steaming cup of coffee with her mother. As a teenager, her home became a welcoming hub for friends and family, all drawn together by the promise of delicious food and warm hospitality. Inspired by these gatherings, Daphnee pursued her passion for the culinary arts, earning a degree from the FIU School of Hospitality and Tourism Management.With a certification in event planning, she co-owned Lemon Chiffon Events and Catering in Miami, Florida, where she honed her skills in creating memorable experiences. Daphnee thrives on entertaining loved ones, delighting them with innovative flavors and unique food concepts. With invaluable experience gained from some of the best restaurateurs in the industry, she has also participated in renowned events like the SOBE Food Festival and Wine, Dine, and Design. Daphnee's passion for food and connection shines through at Fleur Cuisine Harborside, where she invites you to share in her love for great cuisine and community.
Wanddy LaFleur is a seasoned chef with over 20 years of culinary experience. His journey in the restaurant industry began at the age of 12, inspired by his father, who worked as a janitor and prep cook at a local chain restaurant. It was a pivotal moment when Wanddy offered to prepare breakfast for the staff, and their enthusiastic response revealed his natural talent for cooking. From that day forward, he realized he had a gift for creating food that not only delighted palates but also made a positive impact on those around him.By the age of 14, Wanddy officially entered the culinary world, and since then, he has embraced nearly every role in the restaurant industry. However, his true passion lies in crafting unique dishes that evoke joy and comfort. "I take pride and ownership in the food that I serve," he says. "The authenticity of my cooking fuels my desire to continue creating delicious meals."
